My name is Linda-Merete Antonsen, are 32 years old, and was born and raised in Hønefoss in eastern Norway. I grew up on a farm with grain production and chickens. For four years I was an only child until I got a little brother in 1991. In 1997 my parents divorced and my brother and I moved to Hønefoss city with Mom. After a few years my mom met a new man and remarried. And I got a little brother in 2003 and a little brother in 2004. As the only girl in the group, and the oldest, it was a lot of responsibility on me. I needed time for myself and found inner peace with drawing and painting. I have up through my entire childhood loved this.

When I was in seventh grade in elementary school, there was an international drawing competition where schools participated. Of all the schools in Norway it would be one winner. I was fortunate that my drawing were selected and won first place in Norway and my drawing was exhibited at an art exhibition in Ottawa, Canada. It was my greatest achievement in drawing.

I was in junior high, high school and went 1 year in college on tourism and entrepreneurship. I started working full time at Rema 1000. In 2008 I became friends with a man through Facebook. And after a while,he become my boyfriend and I moved to him in Stavanger (Rogaland). I got a job in canteen / cleaning in ISS Facility Services,and as time went on, I worked my way up to the team leader position. In 2009 we moved to Sola,another city in Rogaland. In 2010 I gave birth to a lovely daughter named Linnea and in 2013 I gave birth to another lovely girl, named Mariell. In early 2014, the children’s father and I broke up.Then I became a single mother of two girls and had extremely much responsibility and thoughts. It was a hard time, but I just got stronger of the situation!

After getting everything in my life relatively stable again, I felt a need to think ahead and get a new education. And then I wanted to do something that interested me. Graphic design seemed exciting and interesting. So I took the step and signed up.

I have studied for 4 years in addition to being a single mother of two girls,full time job,playing handball, follow up my girls in school and kindergarten, follow up at gymnastics trainings, competitions, handball trainings, matches, church choir, hobby sewing for both sales and privet use and being deputy chairman for the of the voluntary organization Aleneforeldreforeningen. This has been challenging, but also exciting and fun.
